Job Description

The Borough of Hatboro is currently seeking lifeguards for the Hatboro Memorial Swimming Pool. Lifeguards are responsible for the safety and wellbeing of members/visitors to the Hatboro Memorial Pool. Employees must be available to work shifts Sunday-Saturday (exact days of work and length of shifts will vary based on scheduling) beginning May 28, 2022 through September 5, 2022. Essential job functions include:

  • Monitoring swimmers and patrons in/around the pool
  • Enforcing rules and regulations of the Hatboro Memorial Pool Facility
  • Actively monitoring pool for hazardous or danger
  • Warning swimmers of hazards/danger
  • Responding to emergencies within the water
  • Providing emergency assistance to swimmers when needed
  • Performing CPR as needed
  • Cleaning/Sanitizing equipment, pool furniture, or locker rooms as needed

Qualifications

  • Lifeguard Certification
  • CPR Certification
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
  • Pennsylvania Criminal History Background Check
  • FBI Background Clearance
  • No felony convictions or conviction of any morals crime
  • Ability to Swim
  • Proficient communication and observation skills
