Borough Network is a new app that caters to study abroad students traveling overseas. Its features include a:
1) Social feature where students can connect with one another, post on a news feed, and contribute to a city-wide social events calendar.
2) Review feature where students can explore hidden gems throughout the city (activities, parks, businesses, even free-to-use public WIFI and bathrooms).
3) eCommerce feature where they will be able to purchase student discounts offered throughout the city if they so choose.
Created by students for students, this app is an incredibly useful tool and free service for students to take advantage of, not a business that takes advantage of them. Our mission is to keep students in touch, informed, and in budget while studying abroad. We created this app to genuinely enhance their experience abroad by building it off of our own.

Job Description
Borough is looking for experienced sales people to fill two ‘Business Development Specialist’ positions. As a Business Development Specialist, responsibilities will include:
-Thoroughly research assigned territory for consumer-driven business leads and develop points of contact with businesses our students will love
-Execute partnerships with businesses across multiple categories in order to increase Merchant accounts and the number of discounts advertised to students on the app. Potential strategies include emailing the aforementioned points of contact and performing cold calls.
-Track all account information and sales progress using the company's internal tools, as well as forecast sales and assist the company in achieving goals.
-Be knowledgeable of marketplace trends, as well as of competitive product offerings.

Compensation will be hourly based + bonuses based on performances. As the company grows so will your benefits.
For now, you will be working remotely. We plan to move into offices after the New Year.
Qualifications
As mentioned previously, there are two positions available.
Position One:
-Responsible for Spain and UK territories
-Fluency in Spanish and English required
Position Two
-Responsible for Italy and Australia territories.
-Fluency in Italian and English required
Other required qualities include:
-Experience. 5+ years, especially in telesales, is a plus.
-Evidence of delivered results
-Exceptional people skills
-Ability to multi-task, efficiently handling multiple accounts (+ locations) at once.
-Polished, professional written and verbal communication skills
-Tactful resilience and tenacity when contacting potential accounts
-Genuine enthusiasm for our mission and desire to see the company grow
