Aquatic Environmental Services, Inc. is a fisheries management company located in northern GA. We manage 100's of lakes and ponds throughout Georgia and the SE and worked in twelve states last year. Our team of professionals are highly trained and experienced biologists providing lake management, fish stocking, fishery surveys, liming, mapping, consulting, lake design and fish habit enhancements.  Our clients include private and plantations lake owners plus several commercial facilities, and municipalities.

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Fish Biologist to join our team. This full-time position is responsible for implementing and managing fishery stocking programs and assisting with management, constructing or remediating existing fisheries. Key responsibilities include:

  • Follow the customer relationship program to deliver premium service, responsiveness, education, and up- and cross-selling opportunities and referrals.

Additional duties include working with other members of our team to assist with lake/pond management, maintaining equipment, and working with our team of specialists to develop best-in-practice aquatic management programs and techniques.

Qualifications

The right candidate for this position has at least a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Fisheries Management, or a related area and 5 or more years of experience in a similar industry. Experience using GIS/mapping software desired. Because this position will be driving company trucks, a clean driving record is a must. Due to the physical requirements of this position, as well as the outside nature, candidates must be able to successfully secure a health card by passing a physical, be able to lift 50 pounds with minimal to no assistance, and be prepared to work in various outdoor settings and various topographies. Candidates must also pass a background check.

It goes without saying that our Senior Fish Biologist must be able to identify native fish species on sight.
