About the role
Are you an Accounts Payable professional looking to bring your experience to help shape the future of finance at Bluecurrent? Join our collaborative Finance team where you will be responsible for efficiently managing accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely payments for New Zealand and Australia, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, who is committed to high-quality work, and is motivated to improve and implement finance processes and systems following our recent implementation of Dynamics365.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process invoices accurately, including three-way matching of purchase orders, goods receipts, and invoices.
- Prepare payment runs and upload payments for bank processing.
- Respond to payment queries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage credit card administration, including expense claims support and transaction processing.
- Month end close – preparing AP recs and completing supplier reconciliations in the system.
- Support and deliver on process improvement initiatives and help implement new procedures and systems.
- Ensure projects are completed effectively and on time and the desired outcomes is achieved.
What we’re looking for
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in a dedicated accounts payable or similar finance role.
- end-to-end accounts payable experience
- strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems effectively and improve processes via automation.
- excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise high-volume workloads to meet deadlines and operational requirements.
- strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience (highly desirable) or experience with using a tier 1 ERP system (SAP or JDE etc).
- intermediate Excel skills.
