About the Role 

Bluecurrent is a leading provider of innovative smart metering services and solutions in New Zealand and Australia. As a B2B company, we partner with leading energy retailers and distributors in New Zealand and Australia.

We’re looking for two seasoned Senior Finance Analysts who thrives on turning data into actionable insights and driving strategic outcomes. These are newly created opportunities for Senior Finance Analysts to join the dynamic team. In this role, you’ll work closely with leaders across the business, delivering actionable insights and taking ownership of critical parts of the key financial planning and performance cycles.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver timely and accurate financial reports and analysis for finance and business stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly revenue and cost reports with clear commentary for key business areas, segments, and programmes.
  • Build and maintain financial models to provide insights, track trends, and support expenditure and balance sheet control.
  • Work with business teams to improve and automate reporting processes for better data quality and timeliness.
  • Develop or enhance reports by leveraging technology and AI tools.
  • Coordinate financial planning and performance cycles, collaborating closely with business leaders.
  • Create and maintain robust financial models for quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting, ensuring alignment with strategic plans and KPIs in Workday Adaptive.
  • Support and guide financial systems and processes, maintaining compliance with policies, procedures, and internal controls.

What we are looking for 

We’re looking for a talented Senior Finance Analyst who’s ready to make an impact.  You’ll be a qualified CA or CPA with ideally 5+ years’ experience working in a Commercial Environment, and you’ll bring a sharp analytical mind and a passion for turning numbers into meaningful insights.

You’ll have strong expertise in financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting with meticulous attention to detail. Along with a deep understanding of financial systems and processes; experience with Dynamics 365, Workday Adaptive, and Power BI is a plus.

You will bring exceptional communication skills, being able to present complex financial information to a diverse range of stakeholders.

You’ll have a creative, solution-focused mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement – ready to help shape the future of finance at Bluecurrent.
