About the Role

Want to drive IT operations and platforms optimisation in a dynamic digital team that is focused on driving real results? Join the team as the Head of Platform & Operations to lead and drive continuous improvement to IT operations, ensuring they are effective, affordable, and aligned with Bluecurrent’s strategy. 

Key responsibilities include:  

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of Business Support Solution platforms. Ensuring platform health requirements are understood and being met by their responsible owners.  
  • Manage IT services to meet business needs and ensure customer satisfaction.  
  • Monitor and manage the performance of service providers, ensuring high-quality service delivery. 
  • Drive continuous improvement in IT service management processes and practices. 
  • Develop and maintain documentation for IT service management processes and best practices. 
  • Ensure compliance with security best practices and data protection standards. 
  • Manage resources effectively to meet committed company business objectives and the product roadmap. 
  • Provide regular reports on IT service performance and improvement initiatives. 
  • Budget, manage and control Digital Opex (Direct and Indirect) 

What we are looking for 

You will bring extensive experience in IT operations, platform management and leading high performing teams. You will prioritise providing leadership and guidance to the team, creating an innovative and collaborative environment. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required.  

You will also bring:  

  • Strong knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks 
  • Experience with ITSM tools such as Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, or similar. 
  • Proven experience in managing service requests, incidents, and  
  • changes 
  • Knowledge of security best practices and data protection standards 
  • Experience in managing service providers and vendor relationships (both operational and commercial). 
  • Experience and knowledge of contemporary software development practices  
  • A drive for continuous improvement, customer engagement and team leadership
