ASC Profiles services various segments of the steel construction industry through its three divisions, AEP Span, ASC Steel Deck and ASC Building Products.

Job Description

Primary Purpose & Value of the Department & Position:

The Marketing Analyst supports the Marketing team in the planning, management, and execution of CPNA’s product strategies and marketing initiatives. This includes supporting new product development (market analysis, product conception, business case development, and product launch) and the management of the existing portfolio of products (sales reporting, product review, offer management, and competitor analysis).

The Marketing Analyst is responsible for the periodic analysis of a diverse range of primary data sources and secondary research to drive marketing strategy and sales effectiveness. They collaboratively support marketing and sales teams in the planning and implementation of marketing and promotional strategies, including the development of campaigns, tools, and content that drive brand and product awareness and lead generation. The Marketing Analyst is responsible for directing customer and internal stakeholder engagement activities to solicit feedback for improvement including satisfaction assessments.

This is a hybrid work arrangement (onsite 2-3 days minimum per week) role based out of our West Sacramento, CA location. There is opportunity for occasional travel to other business sites.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Supports the development and execution of strategic vision and business improvement plans through analytical support and strategy formulation.
  • Analyzes product line performance (revenue, volume, margins, trends, etc.) to inform portfolio strategy, and to ensure achievement of strategic and financial objectives.
  • Captures “voice of customer” feedback from consumers, customers, key influencers, and internal stakeholders, and translates insights into product strategy and marketing recommendations.
  • Conducts competitor, market analysis, and business unit performance analysis to drive product mix, marketing initiatives, and business strategy.
  • Assists Product Managers with the new product development process, in collaboration with Engineering and cross-functional project teams, to ensure cost, schedule and performance objectives are met.
  • Leads or contributes to cross functional teams to support ongoing product offer management and review.
  • Partners with Marketing Team to create effective launch, promotion, and communication programs, and to maintain external product offer and technical information.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, or marketing, or combination of relevant experience
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing analysis, product management, business/strategy analysis, or similar experience in general marketing functions,
  • Experience developing or contributing to marketing and promotional activities.
  • Proven experience executing market and performance analysis activities.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience translating data and market research into insights into recommendations, and strategies.
  • Experience collaborating with technical stakeholders, such as engineering or product development, and synthesizing technical concepts into value propositions or brand strategies.
  • Curiosity to drive business growth, marketing professionalization and personal development.

Preferred:       

  • Building products industry experience, or a product category with a similar channel to market (B2B2C – Businesses to Business to Consumer).
  • Project management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience directing cross-functional teams to achieve project or strategic initiative outcomes such as marketing, product or sales strategies.
  • Desire to further a career in marketing management or business strategy leadership.

Salary Range: $75,585-$113,377 annually.
