ASC Profiles services various segments of the steel construction industry through its three divisions, AEP Span, ASC Steel Deck and ASC Building Products.

Job Description

The Assistant Product Marketing Manager is a member of the Coated Products North America Marketing Team (CPNA), comprised of ASC Profiles, LLC and Steelscape, LLC.  The position supports the planning, management, and marketing of the product portfolio for CPNA. This product portfolio encompasses a range of new and mature construction products, primarily metal roofing and siding products, and galvanized and pre-painted steel coils, for residential and commercial construction markets.  

The role supports activities throughout all stages of product planning and marketing (conception, definition, business case, development, launch, and post-launch activities), to ensure achievement of strategic objectives for the business (revenue, profit, ROIC, market share, etc.). The position collaboratively works within the marketing team in the creation of marketing strategies, and the execution of marketing tactics to drive brand and product awareness, preference, and lead generation. 

  • Supports development of strategic vision and direction/plan for the ASC product portfolio, in alignment with business strategies.
  • Analyzes product line performance (revenue, volume, margins, trends, etc.) to inform portfolio strategy, and to ensure achievement of strategic and financial objectives, including capital investment planning.
  • Supports the development of the product development roadmaps to deliver competitive advantage and drive profitable growth.
  • Captures “voice of customer” feedback from sales teams, customers, key influencers, and other internal stakeholders, and translates insights into product strategy recommendations.
  • Conducts competitor and market analysis to understand market needs and trends.
  • Assists with the new product development process, in collaboration with Engineering and cross-functional project teams, to ensure cost, schedule and performance objectives are met.
  • Helps manage the Product Offer Analysis (POA) process from initiation to implementation and launch; updates the Product Offer Manual (POM) as required, and communicates to all functional groups.
  • Collaborates with team to create effective launch, promotion, and communication programs, and to maintain external product offer and technical information.

 

Qualifications

Minimum: 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, marketing, or engineering; or combination of relevant experience.
  • Experience with project and cross-functional teams
  • 2+ years of business experience in product marketing management, marketing/financial analysis, or related function (marketing, sales, analytics, engineering, etc.).
  • Proven experience executing market and performance analysis activities.
  • Experience translating numbers, and market research into insights and recommendations.

Preferred:

  • Building products industry experience, ideally in metal roofing or related product category
  • Project management experience
  • Cross-functional team leadership
  • Experience in manufacturing environment, preferably steel/building products
  • Experience with Stage-Gate methodology

Salary Range: $75,585-$113,377
