Job Description

Provide project management and departmental support that meets or exceeds team members’ and management’s expectations.  Provide timely and concise verbal and written communications, and promptly respond to requests. Employ sound risk management principles that meet or exceed project and divisional and regional profitability goals and establish/ensure milestone dates and deliverables are met.  Support and engage in a collaborative work environment between all internal company disciplines.  Build trust among peers and customers by developing strong relationships.

  • Purchasing/Regional Purchaser: Proficient in Compass Management, Purchase Orders, Reporting (COMPASS, BI), and other divisional or departmental specific documents related to role. Coordination with PMs and Suppliers for on time delivery. Invoicing, Receiving, Match Holds, Supplier issue resolution
    • Supplier items that require regional purchaser: Insulated Metal Panels, bar joist/decking, fasteners/bolts, brace rods, skewed closures, outsourced material fabrication, brace rods and hardware, sealant, etc.
  • Parts Orders (Engineered, Claim, ezParts): Includes pricing, communication with builder, parts list generation, input, limited Vision detailing. Submittals depending on parts order type - new order creation, Vision upload to PIM, copying parts in PIM, interface to COMPASS, credit release, scheduling if required. Book and schedule in a timely manner. Generate Engineered Parts Order POs
  • Assist Lead Project Manager with other delegated tasks which could include technical help for builders, correspondence with construction consultant and/or builders, parts order pricing, supplier item pricing, claim research, following up with supplier schedules, etc.
  • Assist PA with department and builder meetings prep and teardown
  • Train and mentor Project Assistant I employees

Qualifications

Minimum: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of relevant experience in a Project Assistant role

Preferred: 

  • Associates degree, 2-year technical degree, or office management certificate
