Job Description

The Pricing Analyst serves as the primary contact for quoting and pricing products per customer specifications and market needs.  This position is highly analytical, results-driven, and works with multiple sources of data to help BlueScope Coated Products determine and set competitive prices to achieve market and financial goals.  This position collaborates closely with the Sales and Customer Experience Team members.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for timely quote generation, quote review, pricing adjustments and pricing analysis based on information provided by the Sales and / or Customer Experience team members.
  • Develop data sources, models, and methods to identifying pricing improvements, opportunities or inconsistencies such as margin leaks.
  • Collaborates with the Operations and Quality teams to fulfill customer inquiries and develop understanding of processing capabilities to customer product specifications.
  • Develops in-depth knowledge of the coil coating process, paint suppliers and quoting systems.
  • Supports the maintenance of price building tables that drive the quoting systems.
  • Follow documented parameters and restrictions for quoting and pricing.        
  • Possess and demonstrate analytical thinking capabilities.
  • Participate and engage in any trainings, development opportunities and activities related to BlueScope Coated Products.

  • Ability to work quickly and under tight deadlines.
  • Strong foundational math skills with ability to perform general calculations including but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, percentages, and statistics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.  Experience in PriceFx a plus.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience or related field is required.
  • Bachelor of Arts in Finance or Accounting preferred.
