Job Description

The Manufacturing Systems Analyst is responsible for:

  • Providing automation, product and safety support for achievement of team goals as specified by management
  • Assists plants with technical support for machine/product data interfaces, programmable logic controller (PLC), and automation systems.
  • Assists HSE Manager with safety and OSHA compliance regarding automated equipment, PLC’s, and equipment controls
  • Assists in evaluating manufacturing capabilities and developing corrective action for problems relating to production and quality of materials and recommends revisions of operation, alterations in equipment layout and other changes to facilitate production processes or improve standards
  • Designs, drafts, and troubleshoots automated equipment for a wide variety of manufacturing processes including fabrication automation, product integration, and elimination of safety hazards
  • Works closely with the IT team to assure clear communication and direction in relation to Cyber security, manufacturing/supply chain IT related changes, enhancements, and new systems.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science or related field.  In lieu of degree 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • 5 years of Automation, Manufacturing Systems and programming or related experience
  • Successful project management experience
  • Experience directly leading projects totaling more than $500,000 per year
  • Knowledge of Machine Controls, PLC’s, manufacturing equipment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience
  • AutoCAD and drafting background
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing processes and capabilities
  • Experience in Lean manufacturing techniques
  • Background in equipment design &/or re-design
