Job Description

BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. (BBNA), a global building solutions company, is actively seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support our Evansville, WI location.

This role will be responsible for deploying HR policies, processes and practices that align with the goals of the business. The Human Resources Generalist will provide HR support to employees and management in the areas of benefits, policies, recruitment and payroll. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual that succeeds in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Support recruiting and staffing activities, including diversity and affirmative action efforts, which includes but not limited to: Facilitate pre-employment assessment, new employee onboarding, separation process

  • Counsel and advise management regarding company policies and procedures, and all aspects of employment law

  • Administer attendance program and leave management, to include attendance tracking system, FMLA, disability benefits and benefit enrollment process.

  • Coordinate events and activities that target employee engagement and recognition

  • Facilitate training and development sessions

  • Provide support with performance management process

  • Travel required up to 5-10%

     

Qualifications

Work Experience:

  • 3 years of Human Resources experience or bachelor's degree in lieu of experience

  • Bachelor of Business Administration with concentration in Human Resources, Psychology or related field preferred

  • Human Resources experience in a construction or similar environment preferred

Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of employment law and benefit plans

  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
