Job Description

The Human Resources department strategically partners with the business to support the business’s strategic direction while maintaining people as our strength. 

The Human Resources Coordinator supports HR processes, policies, and practices that align with the goals of the business.  This role provides HR support to employees in the areas of benefits, policies, and payroll.  This role supports the local facility as a support with recruiting, benefit administration, HRIS guidance, and HR related special projects.  They also support leadership teams regarding recruiting and providing feedback on top candidates for open positions.

  • Supports the maintenance of HRIS and related system administration and employment related changes, including but not limited to ADP, performance management, and training systems.  This includes processing employment related changes including data entry of into HRIS System (ADP). 
  • Support recruitment process by maintaining recruitment system(s) and tools, assist with job posting development, sourcing and screening candidates, interview participation, and pre-employment activities such as administration of drug screens, background checks and reference checks.  Post-employment activities includes completion of onboarding activities.
  • Provide assistance by responding to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests; this includes employee and manager HR inquiries.  Assist employees with interpretation of company policies, procedures and benefits.
  • Assist with employee engagement including, but not limited to, development of new hire and termination communication material, complete new hire onboarding, termination process and annual benefit enrollment communication.
  • Assist with the coordination of key HR projects, such as employee engagement survey, undertake special projects involving accumulations and compilations of data, research, and creating and preparation of reports. 
  • Administer leave management, which includes, FMLA and Salary Continuance.

Qualifications

Minimum: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of Human Resources experience
  • Knowledge and application of employment laws
  • Knowledge and application of benefit plans

Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration with concentration in Human Resources, Psychology, or related field
