BlueScope Buildings North America (BBNA) is looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team. This position works across all brands within BlueScope Buildings, with the day-to-day work revolving around all aspects of digital marketing. The right candidate will have worked in digital marketing positions previously, be both creative and analytical, self-directed, and tenacious.

This is a hybrid position based in either the Kansas City, MO or Memphis, TN metropolitan areas.

Job Description

To be considered for this position, you need a minimum of seven years of experience in digital marketing. That experience should include email marketing, social media, webpage and blog creation, and analytics reporting and evaluation. Experience with digital ads, project management, and marketing automation software are other highly desirable skills.  

The role requires a high level of proficiency in the core competency areas of:

  • Email marketing to a B2B audience. This includes pulling lists, creating graphics, using a drag and drop email builder to create campaigns, and reviewing email metrics to gauge effectiveness.
  • Website content creation using a WordPress-based page builder. This includes page building, blogs, content and visual element edits that engage the visitor throughout the site.  
  • Analytics and tools used to uncover relevant insights and make recommendations based on data.
  • Content creation and cross-channel distribution via emails, webpages, blogs, and social media.  
  • Design aesthetic that enables you to create or guide the creation of on-brand digital elements that inspire engagement.
  • Marketing technologies and emerging digital trends. You enjoy sourcing and learning new software platforms and finding ways to implement new trends into our processes.

A typical day for the digital marketing specialist could include building a blog and an email, meeting with brand stakeholders to discuss metrics from a past campaign, optimizing an existing webpage to boost SEO, and working on a special project (i.e., a new website or reviewing GMB listings to improve accuracy).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Produce and review analytics reporting to track campaign results and uncover relevant insights, content gaps, and opportunities for digital channels.
  • Create and execute email campaigns using marketing automation software.
  • Manage digital marketing requests and workload in project management software.
  • Work with brand content creators to update and maintain website content and images to support content strategy and SEO efforts. Maintain content calendar for all brands.
  • Help the brands maximize website performance by ideating and implementing relevant content, creative messaging, photos and video, and by optimizing landing pages.
  • Schedule social media content and assist the brand teams with monitoring engagement.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce administrator to ensure CRM data used for email campaigns is accurate and comprehensive.
  • Develop content and creative assets for emails, webpages, blogs, and social graphics as needed.
  • Assist Brand Marketing with digital campaigns that support annual business goals.
  • Collaborate with agency partners on special projects as needed.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, or relevant field of study
  • 7 years of experience in a digital marketing role
  • Experience with a marketing automation platform, project management software, and Google Analytics
  • Graphic design background, especially for social posts and email
  • Highly organized, with excellent writing and editorial skills, and the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and succinctly.
  • Solid project management skills; self-directed to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Creative thinker, ability to implement and execute others’ ideas and come up with your own.
  • Tenacity and a positive attitude, able to work independently and with a team, plus being comfortable interacting with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong marketing automation skills – including lead processing, CRM integration, contact management, email list curation, and campaign management – plus, eagerness to find ways to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Implementing an SEO strategy into new and existing web content to develop and expand web presence.
  • Experience with a marketing automation platform, WordPress, Workfront, Salesforce, and digital analytics tools (i.e. Google Analytics, Tableau, Adobe Analytics, DashThis, etc.).
  • A solid understanding of website wireframes, UX design and interface, mobile responsiveness, and site mapping.
  • Experience working in a B2B, B2B2C environment, particularly with email marketing campaigns and MQL generation programs – SEM, drip nurture campaigns, and landing page optimization.
  • Exposure or experience in digital planning, strategy execution, and demonstrating the impact of digital initiatives to the business.
  • Graphic design experience to create social and email graphics using Canva/Adobe Express or similar software, or have experience with Adobe Creative Cloud software.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of analytics tools such as Google Analytics and the ability to make recommendations based on data.
