The primary function of the job is to perform janitorial duties in cleaning of the front office and all plant offices, washrooms, plant aisles, etc. not assigned to other plant employees.

This job will entail using power sweeper, vacuum cleaner, polisher, ladder, mop, bucket, broom, rags and cloths, etc.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

·         Perform a variety of janitorial duties to keep assigned areas of offices and plant in a clean and safe condition.

·         Operate power sweeper in designated plant areas.

·         Clean parking area.

·         Move and empty trash barrels.

·         Sweep and mop floors.

·         Sweep down and police specified areas both inside and outside of the plant.

·         Make periodic checks to remove debris (wood, banding material, trash, etc.) and dispose of in proper containers.

·         Wash windows in specified locations following prescribed schedule.

·         Clean, sweep and mop front office area.

·         Maintain inventory of supplies in storage room after receipt.

·         Perform duties as yard custodian when necessary

·         Perform various other duties as required or as assigned.

Minimum Education & Experience Qualifications

• Basic verbal/written communication skills 

Preferred Education & Experience Qualifications

Experience in general cleaning and hygiene of a plant or facility.
