Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for achieving operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits and identifying trends in accordance with predetermined timelines and budget. The Project Manager achieves most results through engaging in a collaborative working environment between Engineering, Project Managers/Assistants, Sales, Customer Service Team, Purchasing, and Manufacturing.  The position provides the critical customer service function to projects managed.

  • Coordinate the production of documentation required to communicate the understanding and expectations of project requirements for Customer and Operational clarity.
  • Process Customer Changes and Sales orders into SAP system and monitoring of overall supply chain and order management.
  • Investigation of claims responding to field issues and questions promptly – engaging engineering and other resources as required.
  • Managing projects to maintain or enhance margin assuring milestone dates and deliverables are met.                         
  • Accurately maintain project files & records for accurate record keeping and follow-up
  • Providing customer service levels that meet or exceed customers’ expectations throughout the life of the order.
  • Serving as main point of contact for the builder/customer for any project-related questions/requests throughout project life cycle.
  • Develop standard processes and project action plans to support continuing customer and inter-departmental relationships.
  • Coordinating with internal/external functional groups to ensure realistic customer/builder commitments and to identify innovative solutions for customer concerns.
  • Plan and manage customer expectations, ensuring that service and delivery exceeds expectations, providing timely and responsive follow-through for customers

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years related technical project management experience, or combination of technical customer service and project management experience
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings (i.e. architectural/structural contract)
  • AutoCAD experience – ability to manipulate or create shop drawings based on customer provided data
  • Competent in Order Management System applications & procedures

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management preferred, industry experience
  • 5+ years related technical project management experience, or combination of technical customer service and project management experience
  • 2+ years of experience within the construction industry; technical role preferred
  • SAP experience
  • Knowledge of ASC Profiles products
