BlueScope Conventional Steel Services (BCSS) is a division of BlueScope Buildings North America (BBNA) providing conventionally framed buildings through BBNA’s dealer network and construction division.  BCSS supports the mission of BlueScope by providing incremental business through projects not suited to the company’s PEB products, focusing on projects already executed by existing dealers using non-BBNA suppliers.  BCSS is made up of the heavy structures and conventional steel groups.

The primary function of the leadership position is to deliver significant incremental revenue and earnings growth to BBNA through the design and supply of conventionally framed steel building solutions of all complexities using the existing BBNA builder networks.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Leads safety culture
• Strategy development, business development and business planning
• People development and creation of work environment of continuous improvement
• Establish procedures and structure to meet the growth requirements
• Improve the project delivery experience for conventional projects using existing BBNA systems
• Financial responsibility, including fiscal management and oversight
• Setting margins and pricing on all BCSS work
• Hiring and other employment decisions within BCSS
• Settling of builder and supplier claims
• Project contract terms within the BBNA legal guidelines

Minimum Education & Experience Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Master’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, MBA, preferred
• 10 years in building/construction industry
• Demonstrated effective leadership
