Job Description

 

Our Human Resources Internship Program provides the opportunity for you to make an impact on the company by working on critical business needs and hands-on projects while also being able to grow yourself professionally through challenging assignments, personal coaching, and networking opportunities with other interns and leaders.

Professional Growth/Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside a high-performance HR team while learning about the BlueScope Bond and values, business plan, objectives, and how a Human Resources position supports these objectives.
  • Participate in continuous process improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
  • Participate in HR team meetings.
  • Work with members of the Human Resources Department on special projects.
  • Perform administrative activities including system administration, data entry, document uploads, scheduling meetings, and employee communications.
  • Research and respond to questions, both internal and external.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and quality of work performed.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business with an emphasis in Human Resources or other related degrees.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0, preferred.
  • Proven strength in the following: analysis and creative problem solving, communication, interpersonal relationships, self-motivation, and leadership
  • The drive to actively contribute to both personal and company-wide goals through creative and innovative thinking.
