Job Description

The Application Solution team provides an end to end application support service to internal and external customers in the Engineering, Manufacturing, or other business areas. Applications supported include COMPASS, PIM, Vision, Advantage, and Tekla. The Application Solutions Specialist II delivers responsive and reliable services to support the business in a comprehensive and responsible manner. This role will lead and coordinate solving application issues or requirements by acting as a liaison among other key stakeholders. 

The Specialist also participates in process improvement, testing, projects, and other activities for the team as well as the following:

  • Fully support all functionality of at least two complex applications in Engineering, Manufacturing, and other auxiliary areas.
  • Participate with other teams on testing, release/bug fix support, and any approved training for applications responsible to support.
  • Diagnose and report trends to the appropriate internal department while overseeing the resolution.
  • Support and services include analyzing, documenting, communicating and validating information fundamental to the problem.

Qualifications

Minimum:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 additional years of business related experience in lieu of degree 
  • 2 years of relevant experience 
  • Analysis and troubleshooting experience 

Preferred:  

  • Knowledgeable in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Information Technology 
  • Experience with a Service Support Software such as ServiceNow 
  • Experience with Building Information Modelling software such as Autodesk and Tekla 
  • Understanding of ERP and Oracle systems 
  • Knowledge of Order Processing, internal company products or software 
  • Application or other Technical Support experience 
  • Experience working as a detailer is desirable
