BlueScope Recycling (BRM) is a full-service, ferrous scrap metal recycler with processing facilities in Waterloo, Indiana and Delta, Ohio.  (BlueScope Recycling was previously owned by MetalX.)

With a focus on delivering the highest level of service, BlueScope Recycling buys scrap from industrial generators, wholesale suppliers, and the general public. 

As a processor, BlueScope Recycling transform raw ferrous scrap into specification melt products for primary and secondary producers of iron, steel, and stainless steel.

Summary:  The primary role of the Driver is to provide timely, efficient, safe and courteous hauling service to customers along an assigned route.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Perform daily pre and post trip inspection of vehicle.
•    Learn geography of assigned route and surrounding areas.
•    Clean up spills and overflows and return bins to their proper area.
•    Operate vehicles with public safety as your primary responsibility.
•    Use radio to effectively communicate with dispatch and route supervisors.
•    Report all accidents, injuries or maintenance issues in a timely manner.
•    Observe and comply with all applicable safety regulations, rules, policies and procedures.
•    Maintain collaborative working relationship with coworkers and customers.

Required Qualifications: 
•    Class A CDL and current and valid commercial driver’s license and DOT medical card.
•    1+ year of roll-off driving experience required.
•    Basic truck mechanics and parts experience required.
•    Federal, state, and local job site health and safety rules, regulations, and best practices.
•    Maintain a positive attitude with coworkers and customers.
•    Proactively establish trust and credibility with coworkers by maintaining accountability.
•    Contribute to the team dynamic by promoting inclusion, support, and collaboration amongst coworkers.
•    Take initiative, self-manage time and productivity through multitasking.
•    Effectively and concisely communicate both orally and in writing.
•    Think independently and creatively to problem solve.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Experience in the scrap metal industry preferred.
•    Principles of scrap metal recycling collection preferred.
