Job Description
The BlueScope Payroll Coordinator processes bi-weekly payroll for approximately 2,500 employees. They ensure payroll is in compliance with federal, state and local regulations and employees are compensated accurately and on time. Additionally, the Payroll Coordinator assists the Payroll Supervisor with completing forms associated with federal, state, and local authorities.
The Payroll Coordinator will be expected to:
Processes bi-weekly salaried and hourly payrolls for approximately 2,500 employees across multiple states.
Manage employee payroll records including tracking of garnishments, general deductions, taxes, and direct deposits in addition to processing supplemental bonuses, incentives, stock plan, relocation, and sales commission payments. Check and audit time keeping system. Create off cycle payments. Set up state withholding/SUI accounts as needed. Research state tax notices.
Maintain post payroll processes – balancing payrolls, file loads, Credit Union funding, ME duties and Quarterly duties.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Associates degree with emphasis in Accounting or Finance
- 3 years of experience processing payroll
- Standard accounting experience
- Attention to detail and critical thinking skills required
- Excellent communication and organizational skills required
Preferred:
5 years of experience processing payroll for a manufacturing company
Experience with ADP Enterprise payroll or Workday payroll preferred
