Job Description

The Government Services Group has the primary responsibility of providing design/build, turnkey construction, and remodeling solutions through our Sourcewell, GSA and other state, local and federal contract vehicles. Additionally, our group provides supplemental income and market growth for our network of BBNA brand builders (Varco Pruden and Butler). We team with these network builders to provide quality, timely services for our customers for repeat business with both our customers and our brand builders.

This role performs cost/price estimating activities and proposed PEB solutions specifically for material and engineering for opportunities under our Sourcewell, GSA, or other contract vehicles. This position also has the responsibility to generate and maintain costs, pricing and necessary matrixes and model required under both contracts.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Interpret customer drawings, scope of works, and perform load and code due diligence
  • Develop contract specific pricing, i.e. Sourcewell, GSA, etc.
  • Update specific pricing schedule for Sourcewell and GSA
  • Obtain quotes for buyout items
  • Coordinate outsourced projects
  • Maintain relationships necessary to execute quality engineering services and provide quality materials through our vendors

Qualifications

Minimum Education & Experience Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or 2 year Technical degree or 5 years of Industry Experience  
  • Basic Knowledge of Advantage, VP Command and Vision tools
  • PC competent (Including Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Basic Knowledge of AutoCad
  • Competent in Industry standards and practices
  • 5 Years PEB or Conventional steel detailing experience
  • Experience leading complex projects and directing multiple technicians

Preferred Education & Experience Qualifications

  • 4 year Technical degree with 5 years of Industry Experience 
  • Proficient in AutoCad and Tekla
  • 7 Years PEB or Conventional steel detailing experience
  • Proficient in company standards and practices
  • Proficient in company products and processes
  • Capability of using resources to effectively and efficiently meet customer needs.  Gains trust quickly of other parties to discussions and/or negotiations for complex projects. Is widely trusted through building of strong working relationships.
