The Material Disposition Manager develops and executes a business plan to minimize the financial impact of obsolete raw materials and warehouse goods.  The Manager also focuses on safety, inventory management, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business plan that optimizes revenue from obsolete raw materials as a finished product
• Research market values for obsolete materials, provide cost-benefit analysis for alternate uses, and track program results
• Reduce the baseline scrap write-off dollars
• Grow market penetration for sale of obsolete material
• Develop and maintain a growing business network for obsolete products
• Develop and maintain system to manage obsolete materials within the existing ERP system
•  Research potential alternate uses for obsolete materials and associated risks
• Review inventory stocking levels to facilitate low inventory turns and inventory levels that directly correlate with business levels
• Manage the Supplier Sustainability Program for the company
• Actively participate in continuous improvement and special projects

Minimum Education & Experience Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in the procurement and disposition of metal raw materials
• Knowledge of roll forming or sheet metal experience

Preferred Education & Experience Qualifications

• 4 years of related experience in disposition of metal raw materials
