Job Description

The Mexico HR Manager partners with all areas of the Mexico/Latin America business to support the achievement of the business strategy and goals.  The HR Manager provides governance for the business ensuring legislative requirements are met; behavior is aligned with BlueScope’s core values including Our Bond; and that the business is operating as a good corporate citizen.

 

The Mexico HR Manager partners closely with leaders and coaches and supports those leaders to assist in the achievement of the business strategies and goals.  The HR Manager contributes as a key member of the Mexico/Latin American Leadership Team and provides input to the business HR strategy and goals.

 

The Mexico HR Manager operates as a leader with accountability for people, performance and organizational improvement across Mexico.  They are a change agent, reviewing and challenging the culture and capability of the business, identifying risks and non-compliance issues, and resolving those issues ethically and with high integrity.  They are responsible for deploying HR processes, policies, and practices that align with the goals of the business.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor degree in Business Administration with concentration in Human Resources, Psychology, or related field

·         7 years of Human Resources Management experience

·         Knowledge and application of Mexico employment laws

·         Experience across a broad range of HR areas including: deployment of HR policies and processes, recruitment, diversity and inclusion, performance management, recognition, talent management, succession planning, salary planning, employee engagement, communication, change management, developing capability, and employee relations
