Job Description

Under direct supervision, the Operations Clerk performs clerical and administrative tasks to support the  Maintenance Department.

Duties Include:

  • Perform tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Planner
  • Counting inventory in the maintenance tool crib
  • Picking up parts from vendors
  • Ordering parts and restocking the maintenance tool crib
  • Calling vendors
  • Purchase Orders must be created, received and closed in a timely manner
  • Incoming parts and supplies will be located appropriately in the tool crib
  • Accurate and timely updating of Work Orders. 
  • Work orders will be updated for status as parts are ordered and received.
  • Inventory Counts will be updated on a monthly basis.

Qualifications

Minimum

  • High School diploma or equivalent, or attain ACT WorkKeys Assessment at certified job profile skill level
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Preferred

  • 2 years of Warehouse/Shipping/Inventory Control experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 6+ months of experience using Microsoft Office applications
  • 6+ months of experience using Oracle ERP systems

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent computer skills
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems
  • Production and Processing :  knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Good Customer Service  skills
  • Good Communication skills to include internal and external customers via telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person
  • Time Management Skills
  • Multi-tasking skills
