The Construction Services department executes the management and supervision of all construction for the division. The primary focus is customers’ needs and conversion into executable plans that enable the delivery of the highest degree in safety, quality, timeliness, and profitability.

The Construction Superintendent III leads physical construction activities. A Turnkey General Superintendent manages all resources at job site locations during the physical construction of the project.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage full scope of turnkey projects (all construction divisions) and subcontractor coordination.  Turnkey projects may range from $15M to $80M.
• Develop realistic job site schedules to control and direct resources in the construction of each customer’s construction project for Turnkey projects. Take part in planning and discussion necessary to develop and update the construction schedule.
• Enforce subcontract performance so that on-site work complies with the contract.
• Ensure that all projects maintain a work environment that effectively collaborates with customers, subcontractors, and across divisions (BlueScope Construction and BlueScope Buildings North America) lines to support key activities.
• Maintain and assist with continuous improvement within the Field Operations department.
• Develop new members for the Field Operations department.

Minimum Education & Experience Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 years of field construction experience
• Experience to superintend complex Turnkey projects (e.g., industrial and/or commercial, Large warehouse construction, large hangar projects, data centers)
• Expertise in all construction disciplines
• Experience in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships
• In-depth knowledge of construction/building ways and means
• A proven record of construction projects

Preferred Education & Experience Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field
• 10+ years of field construction experience
• CPM scheduling management experience
