Job Description

***This role can be remote it does not need to sit in Annville, PA.  It can be located anywhere in the Northeastern U.S.***

The sales department is expected to implement strategies to achieve sustainable financial results, maintain and grow the customer accounts and lead the alignment of the Sales group to the structure of the regional defined business systems.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for the strategic growth of the BlueScope builder network via targeted recruitment of new builders.  The Business Development Manager will implement strategies to achieve targeted recruitment results, grow customer accounts, and strengthen the overall position of BlueScope within the builder community.

  • Execute to a high performance recruiting strategy and achieve recruiting objectives and targets
  • Develop recruitment plans and strategies to achieve goals, objectives and targets for assigned region with specific deliverable dates.  This will include cold calling, networking, sales aptitude, etc.
  • Achieve builder network growth goals consistent with defined company strategy and Market Intelligence department
  • Understand and manage the BRAND position in the marketplace assigned relative to pricing, competitors, products and services, industry trends, and top builder targets
  • Assume lead responsibility for establishing and developing customer relationships with key decision maker(s) within builder organization
  • Manage recruitment of builders in alignment with company strategies from Market intelligence, driving high value builders into the network, and ensuring each area has a good balance of active builders
  • Ensure not just effective recruitment of new builders, but also the activity of new builders in cooperation with Area/District and Account managers to achieve, new builder onboarding goals, revenue and margin targets.  Ensure new builders attend necessary training within 6 months of appointment and are enrolled in appropriate marketing programs; identifying and canceling non-performing builders to free up territory and allow for recruitment
  • Analyze and evaluate financial and operational information to identify issues and barriers for corrective action, through utilization of weekly management dashboards; monthly financial reports; budgets; sales forecasts/plans and other relevant reports

Qualifications

  • College degree in Business, Architecture, Engineering, or other equivalent experience
  • 5 years field sales experience
