ASC Profiles LLC is the leading manufacturer of steel roof and wall products and structural roof and floor deck in the Western U.S., servicing customers from eight locations. ASC Profiles services various segments of the steel construction industry through its three divisions, AEP Span, ASC Steel Deck and ASC Building Products.

Steelscape, LLC is a national supplier of metallic-coated and pre-painted steel. Aimed at servicing the construction industry, Steelscape’s products can be used for a wide range of applications from metal buildings to architectural roofing to decking and framing. Steelscape’s facilities, located in Kalama, Washington; and Rancho Cucamonga, California are strategically located near major truck, ship and rail routes to service the Western U.S. market.

Job Description

Reporting to the VP of Finance & Supply Chain, the Head of IS&T is responsible for leading and managing a team of IT & IS support functions. This role will energize and lead their organization on a multi-year digital transformation journey to simplify, modernize and digitize our technology systems. It is also responsible for driving cultural, behavioral, and skillset changes, as well as defining the optimal IT operating model (Agile, DevOps, etc.) to enable the journey. The successful candidate will need to leverage their experience to identify and implement emerging technologies, and lead the coordination of all aspects of the Company's IS&T development. 

This role will need to be the leader and coordinator of the company's information technology vision, security, infrastructure and the execution across the business. This role will require exceptional strategic thinking, collaboration and communication skills, technical competency, and technical problem-solving skills to make our digital transformation strategy a reality. This role will also model our diversity strategy in their approach to IS&T. 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Brings executive perspective to IT & IS incorporating growth and strategic vision while building capability, culture and effectiveness
  • Sets a clear and compelling vision for department employees and company
  • Develop and fully implement the company's IS&T strategy
  • Work with leaders and key clients to to identify and deliver technology and business improvements
  • Select, adopt/eliminate and modify applications that assist business goals and performance
  • Develop and implement security policies, practices and capabilities
  • Establish, negotiate, and lead key provider contracts and outsourcing relationships
  • Improve, maintain, establish and procure IT infrastructure
  • Manage a team of 15 diverse employees and more than 20 different vendor relationships

Qualifications

Minimum Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other relevant discipline or 5 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • 10 years in the Information Technology industry
  • Proven track record of exceptional outcomes including the use of innovative technology solutions
  • 5 years of leadership experience including demonstrated successful management of a functional team of 10 or more people
  • Recent experience and tangible body of work in IT security and regulatory business process.
  • Specific experience setting the vision and transforming IT that may leverage cloud computing, mobility and outsourced vendor relationships. Evidence of successfully leading large scale projects
  • Experience in implementing and managing complex business systems, including:
  • Application Portfolio and Program Management experience
  • Understanding of System Development and System Support methodologies
  • ERP implementation & optimization

 

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

  • MBA with a Computer Science or Information Technology concentration
  • 10 years of leadership experience including demonstrated successful management of a functional team of 10 or more people
  • Experience in managing a significant IS organization with annual budgets more than $5M
  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Geographically mobile and able to travel between business sites
  • 5 years SAP or relevant ERP experience
  • Experience implementing and optimizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP
