ASC Profiles LLC is the leading manufacturer of steel roof and wall products and structural roof and floor deck in the Western U.S., servicing customers from eight locations. Steelscape, LLC is a national supplier of metallic-coated and pre-painted steel. Aimed at servicing the construction industry, Steelscape’s products can be used for a wide range of applications from metal buildings to architectural roofing to decking and framing. Steelscape’s facilities, located in Kalama, Washington; and Rancho Cucamonga, California are strategically located near major truck, ship and rail routes to service the Western U.S. market.

Job Description

The Manager of Reliability and Manufacturing Excellence provides leadership to develop and drive CPNA manufacturing reliability and manufacturing excellence strategies. The Manager provides strategic leadership to the Maintenance, Engineering, capital budget allocations, capital project management, implementation of best practices, investigation/implementation of new technology, and automation. This position will facilitate the systems, processes and training on these topics.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide support for all CPNA facilities and functions in terms of asset reliability & improvement and manufacturing excellence.
  • Develop and adhere to suitable Maintenance budgets across CPNA. Work with Manager of Maintenance & Engineering- CPNA to define strategic maintenance goals and objectives. Develop, review and adhere to suitable Maintenance budgets.
  • Manage capital plans & budget, lead or support implementation of major capital projects, ensure capital projects are submitted according to the [CAPEX process]
  • Monitor and report budget and financial results to management.
  • Design, develop and implement systems to support manufacturing excellence processes and initiatives in all CPNA facilities.
  • Take a lead role in the advancement of technology, digitalization, and automation within CPNA via facilitation of investigation, trials, and implementation of technology options.
  • Contribute to and support Project Portfolio Management optimization and resourcing
  • Maintain highest standards in Safe Work Systems for Maintenance (especially LOTO)
  • Liaise with wider NSBSL community to deliver best practices and results across the business
  • Develop and supervise an effective team by providing specific, actionable expectations; building consensus to achieve expected outcomes; following up on assigned actions; and providing feedback and advice to ensure continuous development of the team.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or related discipline
  • Minimum of ten years in manufacturing industry environment
  • Proven experience with management of capital projects
  • Strong manufacturing leadership skills with a demonstrated record of continuous improvement. 
  • Demonstrated safety leadership

 

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

  • Business management qualification or experience managing large budgets
  • Knowledge of CPNA products and coated products industry
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and capabilities
  • Masters degree in Engineering or Business related studies
  • Experience with Project Management principles
