Steelscape, LLC is a national supplier of metallic-coated and pre-painted steel. Job Description

The Human Resources Team positions itself to partner the business and support Key Focus Areas directly aligned to the Organisation and business strategy.   

The Human Resources Generalist supports & deploys HR processes, policies, and practices that align with the goals of the business.  The HR Generalist supports the business units in recruiting, benefit administration, HRIS guidance, and HR related special projects.  The role works closely with managers in the recruitment process including onboarding and exit programs for employees.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support full cycle recruitment process by maintaining recruitment system(s) and tools, assist with job posting development, sourcing and screening candidates, 
  • Provide assistance by responding to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests
  • Supports the maintenance of HRIS and related system administration and employment related changes
  • Assist with employee engagement process and annual benefit enrollment communication.
  • Assist with the coordination of key HR projects
  • Administer leave management, which includes, FMLA and Salary Continuance
  • Strong HR administrative support
  • Other people related duties and responsibilites

Qualifications

Minimum Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree or Equivalent
  • 3 years of Human Resources experience
  • Knowledge and application of employment laws
  • Knowledge and application of benefit plans

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Business Administration with concentration in Human Resources, Psychology, or related field
  • Manufacturing experience knowledge applicable to industry needs
  • Experience planning, facilitating and conducting training
  • Experience with ADP, PeoplePoint and Microsoft Suite
