Job Description

The Maintenance Planner assists with implementation and support of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).  The Planner focuses on work safety, performance improvements, cost reduction and standardization of maintenance processes.

The Planner uses and maintains COGZ Maintenance Management software, supports the formalization of maintenance processes, and ensures data integrity into and out of the CMMS.  The Maintenance Planner also supports Maintenance department objectives including an increase in preventive activities, adherence to a robust work order system, organizing maintenance spare parts, and quantifying maintenance related expenses.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensures data integrity of COGZ MMS.  Updates and backs up database, reconciles inventory, monitors work orders for proper closure, part usage and notation, and completes monthly metrics
  • Administers the total spare part management system including ordering, receiving, storage, organization and inventory selection of spare parts
  • Generates and administers PMs, maintains the Master Preventive Maintenance calendar
  • Supports the implementation of systems to facilitate the preparation, planning, scheduling, coordination and execution of maintenance activities

Qualifications

Education & Experience Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  •  Knowledge of Manufacturing processes and industrial environment
  • Associates degree
  • Knowledge of warehouse, parts store, distribution center or similar operations
  • Knowledge of maintenance management systems
  • Experience with inventory management and SKU tracking
  • Exposure to mechanical and electrical systems as well as industrial mobile equipment
