BlueScope Construction (BSC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of BlueScope Buildings North America. BSC specializes in structural design and construction of large industrial buildings utilizing a blend of pre-engineered and conventional steel structural systems. BlueScope Erection Services (BES) is a unique construction team specializing in fast erection of large and complex industrial building structures nationwide. BES has openings for general labor positions.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Active team member in leading and promoting safety
• Operating/assisting in aerial lifts
• Cleanup general debris
• Roof installation
• Handling fiberglass insulation
• Operating power-tools (after training)

Minimum Education & Experience Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of experience working on a construction job site, preferred

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Ability to work outdoors in the elements
• Ability to walk steel at elevation and on uneven surfaces
• Able to work at heights
• Ability to use necessary tools and machines
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to handle sharp material
• Ability to communicate with team and leadership

• While performing the duties of this job the employee is constantly required to stand, walk, lift, carry, use the hands to manipulate objects, bend, look and see.
• The employee is frequently required to push, pull, twist, turn, talk, hear, reach above the shoulder and/or outward, and drive power equipment.
• The employee is frequently required to stoop, squat, type, kneel, and climb.
• The employee must at times lift 50 pounds or more.
