Job Description

The Network Administrator’s role is to ensure the stable operation of the in-house network. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. Monitor engineering and colocation facilities in North America, Mexico and India. The primary function of this role is to provide secure, highly available data center and internet access, networking and wireless access along with strategic planning for such services.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage wide area and local network infrastructure including design, implementation
    planning, and equipment provisioning for offices and regional plants and offices
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting
  • Support regional locations and their on-site technical personnel and facilities
  • Provide technical expertise for strategic planning and implementation
  • Manage IS network and participate as a technical expert to broader business projects and initiatives
  • Manage vendor relationships, ticketing, maintenance, planning and installation, and support and patching

Qualifications

Minimum Education & Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of degree
  • 3 years of network administration experience
  • Routers, L2/L3 Switches, Firewalls
  • Local and Wide Area Network design, optimization, and maintenance
  • Experience creating NAT rules, network policy, Filtering and traffic shaping • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with the team
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to serve on a 24/7 on call rotation

  • Certifications appropriate to role
  • Juniper Experience
  • Palo Alto Experience
  • Firepower Threat Defense, Firepower Management Center VM
  • Wireless LAN Controllers and AP's
  • QoS troubleshooting and experience with AVAYA
