The Opportunity

Our Western Sydney Service Centre is looking for Production Line Operators (COLORBOND®) in our manufacturing team based in Erskine Park, NSW.  As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.  Our Erskine Park facility is underway with a significant capital project (circa $415 million investment) to expand our operations and create additional metal coating capacity, to service the Sydney market and support the production of premium branded products, such as ZINCALUME® and TRUECORE®.

We are excited to be offering multiple opportunities for permanent team members to join us. Whether you have steel industry experience or not, we are seeking individuals who are keen to further their skills in manufacturing. You will receive ongoing training and support to learn all aspects of this role allowing for future career development opportunities.  

Opportunities exist on 12-hour, 5-day rotating day and night shift roster, generaly Monday to Friday with some Sunday work required.

The entry level remuneration starts at $97,892 annualised salary package - this includes a base pay of $68,000 per year, plus shift allowances, public holiday payments and pre-paid overtime.

What Will You Do?

Working in a continuous production environment, your role will be to operate a production line, while monitoring product quality and remaining committed to your own safety and that of your team. Working within a collaborative team environment, you’ll receive ongoing training and support. You will:

• successfully contribute to a safe working environment
• operating machinery to manufacture steel products
• safely pack and strap our steel products
• performing basic machinery maintenance and cleaning
• be trained to use overhead gantry cranes and drive forklifts
