- Full-time
Company Description

We are driven by innovation and are proud that the technologies in our products and brands, including COLORBOND® steel, inspire and protect everything from hospitals and bridges to stadiums and homes.
Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Analyst to strengthen the way BlueScope plans, prioritises and reports on technology demand across the Global Corporate and Enterprise Services Technology portfolio. This role will help create clearer investment choices, stronger forecasting discipline and better visibility of the value delivered through technology spend.
Working across Technology, Finance, Strategy and Architecture, Procurement and Vendor Management, you will turn business demand into clear, costed and prioritised information. You will support decision-ready analysis for investment forums, maintain benefits and capacity views, improve forecasting and reporting, and help move the team from manual data collection to more consistent, automated and insight-led ways of working.
This role may be based in Melbourne CBD, Sydney Mascot or Port Kembla.
In this role, you will help BlueScope make informed technology investment and portfolio decisions by providing clear, reliable and actionable analysis. You will bring together demand, financial, capacity and benefits information so leaders can understand where investment is being made, the value being delivered and the trade-offs required to balance competing priorities. You will also help improve the tools, processes and reporting that support effective decision-making across the technology portfolio.
Responsibilities include:
Support technology demand intake by capturing requests, checking completeness and preparing inputs for prioritisation discussions.
Analyse demand, capacity, cost, benefits and supplier consumption across run, change and project investment.
Maintain benefits baselines and tracking information, collect evidence of outcomes and highlight gaps for review.
Build and maintain financial models and templates supporting scenarios, investment cases and total cost of ownership decisions across OPEX, CAPEX and recoveries.
Support monthly accruals, rolling forecasts and management reporting by coordinating inputs, checking assumptions and reconciling cost and supplier data.
Translate complex portfolio and financial information into clear reporting on demand pressure, investment trade-offs, run-rate trends and value realised.
Work with Procurement and Vendor Management to align supplier commitments and consumption data with prioritised demand and approved investment.
Prepare decision-ready data packs, decision records, action registers and follow-up analysis for investment and portfolio governance forums.
Improve demand, planning and reporting processes using Excel, Power BI, planning platforms and automation to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
Qualifications
You are a commercially minded Analyst with strong financial and analytical capability. You enjoy turning complex data into clear, practical insight that helps stakeholders make better decisions. Comfortable working across Technology, Finance and business teams, you bring experience in planning, forecasting, reporting and financial modelling, and the confidence to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
You will bring:
A degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience supporting planning, forecasting, management reporting, cost analysis, demand intake or portfolio reporting in a complex enterprise environment.
Strong financial acumen and the ability to model costs, scenarios and run rate outcomes across OPEX, CAPEX and recoveries.
Experience supporting investment cases, benefits tracking, business case inputs or project financial reporting.
The ability to turn complex financial and portfolio information into clear, practical insight for non-finance stakeholders.
Success in this role will be seen through clearer investment choices, more reliable portfolio reporting, stronger forecasting discipline and better visibility of the value delivered through technology investment.
