The Opportunity
BlueScope Distribution is looking for a Service Delivery Coordinator to join the BlueScope Distributions Gillman based in Wingfield. BlueScope Distribution is a single-source provider of product, processing and service solutions in steel and aluminium product. The business supports customers in a variety of industries and works with them to help deliver projects on time and to specification. BlueScope Distribution supports its customers by helping them find the freedom to do what they do best.
The Service Delivery Coordinator plays a key role in supporting service delivery outcomes, inventory coordination, and operational performance at the Wingfield site, which operates in close partnership with Gillman. The role works collaboratively with on-site teams to align activities with Distribution business priorities, ensuring a consistent and high standard of customer service.
Acting as a central point of coordination between Operations, Transport, Sales, and key stakeholders, the position focuses on facilitating clear communication, strengthening alignment, and supporting effective decision-making across multiple functions. The role contributes to the performance of despatch and inventory processes, while working alongside the on-site warehouse team to optimise outcomes and enhance overall operational efficiency.
What Will You Do?
With no two days the same, you will bring a hands-on approach and strong problem-solving skills to continuously support our Distributions operations. You will also:
- build strong day-to-day working relationships by staying aware of stakeholder priorities and changes across Operations, Sales, and Transport partners
- influence and communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring expectations are aligned and messages are tailored to support positive customer and operational outcomes
- drive on-site operational performance at Wingfield by coordinating despatch, inventory activities, and service outcomes
- coordinate daily inbound and outbound deliveries, including scheduling, receipting, load allocation, and manifesting
- act as the key link between Sales, Operations, and Transport providers to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
- monitor daily performance (e.g. DIFOT, order fulfilment, inventory accuracy) and address any gaps or delays as they arise
- work closely with the warehouse team to maintain accurate inventory, resolve stock issues, and support cycle counts
- manage and resolve service issues and escalations, working proactively to ensure positive customer outcomes
More About You
You are a self-motivated individual with strong technical capability and a passion for learning. You will also have:
- strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, build relationships, and communicate effectively across multiple teams
- demonstrated experience using SAP and/or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory control and operational processes
- proven experience in a despatch, logistics, or distribution coordination role within a fast-paced operational environment
- high level of resilience and ability to operate effectively in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
- strong customer focus, with a commitment to delivering service excellence and achieving positive customer outcomes
- solid understanding of distribution operations, including planning, scheduling, and material movement
