Storeperson

  • Full-time

Job Description

BlueScope is an Australian-born global success story spanning 15 countries. Our team of over 16,500 people is our strength and we want our people to be safe, successful and well. We’re leaders and innovators in transforming steel into smart products and solutions that support society, today and in the future. We’re proud of brands, like COLORBOND ® steel that inspire and protect everything from hospitals to bridges and stadiums.

The Opportunity

Our Lysaght business is looking for a Storeperson to join our Tweed Heads team. This is a hands-on, customer-focused role where you’ll help keep the branch running safely and smoothly, including receiving and picking orders, forklift operations, loading customer vehicles, and preparing products for dispatch.

You’ll be part of a small local team where people work closely together and take pride in doing the job well. If you enjoy practical work, care about doing things safely and accurately, and like helping customers get what they need, this role gives you variety, responsibility and the chance to build your skills with an iconic Australian company.

What Will You Do?

Working across warehouse, yard and customer loading areas, you’ll play an important part in the daily flow of the branch. You’ll:

  • receive incoming goods, check quality, confirm quantities and receipt stock into our system
  • pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately from stock held on site
  • load customer vehicles and outbound orders safely by hand and forklift
  • prepare dispatch paperwork, scanning and manifesting products through our ERP system
  • support stock control, cycle counting and general inventory accuracy
  • work with the customer service team to check orders and resolve practical issues
  • help maintain a safe, organised site where people look out for each other

More About You

You’ll bring a practical mindset, strong attention to detail and a genuine care for working safely. You don’t need to know everything about steel before you start, but you’ll need to be comfortable working in a hands-on warehouse environment and willing to keep learning. You’ll bring:

  • a current forklift licence, with solid forklift experience in a warehouse, yard or operations setting
  • a safety-first approach and care for your own wellbeing and the wellbeing of others
  • experience in warehouse, logistics, production, retail trade, building products or similar hands-on work
  • good communication skills and the confidence to support customers and work closely with teammates
  • basic computer confidence, with the ability to learn systems such as SAP, ERP tools and Excel
  • the ability to stay organised, follow through on tasks and keep quality in mind when work gets busy
  • a reliable, respectful approach and willingness to help where needed across the branch
