The Opportunity
Our Orrcon Manufacturing business has multiple opportunities available for Team Members to join the Production team based in Salisbury, QLD.
No previous operations or manufacturing experience? No problem - we provide comprehensive on-the-job training and ongoing support to help you build a long-term career with us.
These roles are full-time and permanent, offering a competitive weekly rate along with eligibility for overtime and an annual performance bonus.
Our operations run 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, with teams working across day, afternoon and night shifts on a rotating roster.
Shifts are generally Monday to Friday, with night shift commencing on Sunday evenings (9:48pm start). This means you’ll still have the majority of your weekends free.
As part of the roster, you will rotate between day, afternoon and night shifts every two or 3 weeks,. We also have opportunities for fixed shifts in our despatch warehouse.
Shift times include:
- Day shift: 5:48am – 2:00pm
- Afternoon shift: 1:48pm – 10:00pm
- Night shift: 9:48pm – 6:00am
Your starting weekly rate will be from $1,154.82 depending on your skills and experience. As you learn and develop in the role, your weekly rate will increase in line with our structured level system. Day shift is paid at the standard rate, with afternoon shift attracting a 15% shift loading allowance and night shift attracting a 30% shift loading allowance. Public holidays are paid. Overtime can be worked when you are deemed competent in your position.
What Will You Do?
In this role, you will be part of the team producing our high-quality steel products, with a strong focus on safety and attention to detail to ensure only the finest quality is delivered – on time, every time.
Your day-to-day work can include:
- supporting and promoting a safe working environment
- operating machinery to process and manufacture our products
- operating equipment such as forklift and cranes
- packing, strapping, and monitoring products to ensure quality control
Some positions may involve lifting and manual handling, as well as exposure to noise and the work environment can vary with the seasons - warmer in summer, cooler in winter. We ensure that all our employees are supported with the necessary training, guidance, and equipment to complete all tasks safely.

Recruitment Process
Our recruitment process is designed to give you the chance to learn more about us while we get to know you. It involves:
- submitting your application and completing pre-screening questions, make sure to include your preferred shift preference
- completing an online safety assessment (approx. 10 minutes)
- attending a in person interview and site tour
- prior to commencing, you will be required to successfully complete pre-employment medical (including a urine drug and alcohol screen) and reference checks.
