The Opportunity
Orrcon Steel is looking for a Reliability Lead in our Orrcon Maintenance team based in Salisbury. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands.
In this business-critical role, you’ll lead the reliability services for our production teams who operate within a continuous manufacturing environment. Your team’s contribution will enable improved machine uptime and performance so we can continue to make and deliver our world-class product to our valued customers.
What Will You Do?
Contributing to the safety of our people, the quality of our product and the reliability of our equipment, you will:
- lead, motivate and manage the Reliability Team consisting of planning, trades, and apprentices.
- guide maintenance personnel by analysing asset performance and providing expert advice to enhance equipment performance, capability, and cost efficiencies.
- undertake budget management and compliance documentation to ensure maintenance activities align with business requirements.
- facilitate root cause analysis and resolve issues in a variety of manufacturing scenarios.
- lead maintenance projects and major equipment repairs.
More About You
We welcome applications from engineering or trade professionals with applied knowledge of manufacturing asset maintenance and reliability improvement techniques. Along with a focus on safety, you will bring:
- sound understanding of modern manufacturing processes (e.g. Maintenance Management Systems, Maintenance Strategies and Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
- extensive experience within a manufacturing / heavy industry environment.
- previous experience supervising others (in an informal or formal capacity).
- computer competency with programs such as SAP and Microsoft Office (including Excel).
