The Opportunity

BlueScope Distribution is looking for a Leading Hand (afternoon shift) to join the Operations team based in Gillman. BlueScope Distribution is a single-source provider of product, processing and service solutions in steel and aluminium product. The business supports customers in a variety of industries and works with them to help deliver projects on time and to specification. BlueScope Distribution supports its customers by helping them find the freedom to do what they do best.

  • Afternoon Shift: Monday–Friday, 2 pm – 10 pm — sleep in, skip the morning traffic, and still have your mornings free.

Room for progression and development and afternoon shift will attract 15% loading. 

What Will You Do?

With a strong focus on teamwork, you’ll support the warehouse supervisor and be responsible for:

  • with development, supervise our afternoon shift operational activities
  • the day-to-day shift planning and scheduling and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and performance
  • support and assist your team with their daily operational activities including safe loading and unloading of trucks; picking and packing of orders to meet set deadlines; and operating saws and other processing equipment
