The Opportunity
Orrcon Steel is looking for a Mechanical Reliability Engineer in our Mechanical Maintenance team based in Salisbury. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands.
As the Mechanical Reliability Engineer, you'll deliver asset utilisation and maintenance management outcomes across the plant, undertaking root cause analysis and problem-solving strategies on a variety of challenging manufacturing scenarios. Your role will include coaching plant personnel on maintenance techniques and planning strategies for process improvement, working as part of a multidisciplinary team across the department.
What Will You Do?
Working in a supportive environment, you will contribute to the safety of our people, the quality of our product and the reliability of our equipment. You will achieve this by:
- reviewing equipment performance, availability and breakdowns to identify reliability improvement plans.
- developing maintenance lifecycle plans for all critical equipment.
- developing and leading Condition Monitoring Program including vibration and oil analysis.
- mentoring and developing team members, driving reliability excellence principles and improvement projects across the site.
- continually seeking opportunities to improve site maintenance performance.
- assisting in troubleshooting day-to-day problems, recommending simple and robust solutions.
More About You
Being a qualified Mechanical Reliability Engineer, you will bring:
- a degree in Mechanical Engineering, or hold a Diploma with relevant industry experience.
- relevant experience in equipment reliability focused on life-cycle maintenance.
- experience in problem solving/root cause analysis and reliability improvement.
- asset management experience including Reliability Excellence principles and RCM.
- experience with CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD and Inventor).
