The Opportunity

Our Lysaght business is looking for an Account Manager to join our team based in Rockhampton QLD. Made in Australia since 1921, Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes, to large commercial and industrial projects.

In this dynamic, customer-facing opportunity, you’ll be responsible for nurturing and expanding existing partnerships while forging new connections for future growth. Backed by a supportive, experienced, and collaborative team, you’ll help shape and execute strategic sales plans that drive sustainable, profitable revenue. What Will You Do?

As a key addition to our high-performing branch, covering a territory across Rockhampton and Central Queensland, you will:

  • build and strengthen strong, long-term partnerships with our valued customers
  • execute a structured call planning cycle and conduct regular face-to-face meetings to grow and sustain profitable relationships
  • proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities with prospective clients
  • uncover opportunities to enhance service delivery and expand business with existing accounts
  • collaborate closely with internal teams to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations
  • manage pricing activities and maintain accurate, up-to-date customer records in our database

As a highly motivated, self-driven team player, ready to make a meaningful impact for both our customers and our business, you will bring:

  • exceptional account management and sales capability
  • the ability to leverage customer and market information to develop attractive product and solution-based ideas and service
  • sound commercial acumen, with an understanding of pricing strategies and the effect on profitability
  • willingness and ability to travel throughout Central Queensland as required, including occasional multi-day trips involving overnight stay
  • a commitment to your own safety and wellbeing and care for others
