We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to oversee management of compliance risk in the Ethics & Compliance (E&C) Core Matters across the business.
In this role, you will be responsible for defining, and supporting a high-impact E&C program that not only meets regulatory and policy expectations, but also protects our business, empowers our people, and delivers on Our Bond.
This role presents a unique opportunity to broaden your impact by combining all or part of your current position with a pivotal leadership role that is a cornerstone of BlueScope’s commitment to operating with integrity, managing risk and building trust, working across all regions, functions and leadership levels.
Job Description
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Global Technology Portfolio Director, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and delivery of key initiatives within BlueScope’s Global Cloud Program. Working closely with global and regional technology teams, the PMO, engineering, and business units, this role drives execution of the cloud roadmap, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with BlueScope’s strategic and architectural direction.
This role will be based in either our Melbourne CBD or Mascot NSW offices.
The role
The role requires strong program management and cross-functional coordination skills, with the ability to support execution in a federated global environment. The Senior Project Manager collaborates with architects and engineers to ensure solutions align with established guidelines and deliver tangible business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Program Delivery Management
Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and tracking of BlueScope’s global cloud program. Manage milestones, risks, interdependencies, and budgets across regions and business units to ensure on-time, on-scope, and on-budget delivery.
Strategic Execution Alignment
Translate the enterprise cloud strategy into actionable roadmaps. Integrate insights from 6R assessments and other bottom-up analyses to maximise business-value realisation.
Stakeholder Coordination
Serve as the central liaison between regional technology leaders, business sponsors, and transformation teams. Facilitate collaboration, remove delivery blockers, and maintain clear, consistent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Vendor & Partner Oversight
Manage external delivery partners, cloud vendors, and system integrators. Ensure contractual commitments, quality standards, and cloud-architecture guidelines are met.
Governance & Reporting
Establish and chair governance forums (steering committees, RAID reviews). Produce concise, data-driven dashboards and status reports that give executives clear visibility of progress, risks, and performance metrics.
Enablement & Change Delivery
Partner with the PMO and change-management teams to craft communication, training, and readiness plans. Ensure users and operations teams adopt and integrate cloud solutions seamlessly into day-to-day workflows.
Qualifications
Required
Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field.
10+ years’ experience managing complex IT or digital transformation programs, including at least 3–5 years in cloud or infrastructure-related project delivery.

Demonstrated success delivering global or multi-region programs in large, complex or federated organisations.
