The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join Orrcon Steel’s National Customer Service Centre in Gillman SA as a Team Leader. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands.

Our customer centric team at Orrcon has a passion for service and team interaction, they represent the face of the business and always have the customer at the heart of everything they do. In this role, you will bring your Customer Service experience and People Leading knowledge to support our high performing team. You will interact and manage internal and external customer enquiries and relationships; either in person, through phone calls or through emails. As a self-motivated, quick thinker, you quickly adapt and can juggle more than one task at any given time.

This is a Monday to Friday role, working a 38-hour week.

No prior steel industry experience is necessary. We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.

What Will You Do?

  • Developing mutually beneficial relationships with our customers via phone and email
  • Building a culture of continuous improvement
  • collaborating with a diverse range of internal stakeholders to ensure customer expectations and requirements are met
  • Coaching, mentoring and leading a team of customer service advisors, driving a high performance culture that aligns with “Our Bond”
  • Developing and implementing market strategies and campaigns in support of market development initiatives and sales activities

More About You

As a highly motivated customer service team leader, you’ll bring:

  • Experience in Team Leadership
  • Experience in best practice sales & marketing processes, tools & systems
  • Experience in Account management and service of customers
  • A tertiary or technical qualification in a related discipline
  • Experience in new product/service development or launch of same
