Job Description

At BlueScope, we are embarking on a transformative journey to revolutionise our technology strategy and employee experience, with a primary focus on the global implementation of Workday. This significant initiative will be executed through a carefully planned, multi-phased approach.

We will commence this journey in Australia, leveraging our Australian business as the initial phase to establish a strong foundation. Over the next two years, we will progressively expand the implementation to our international operations, ensuring a seamless transition and integration across our global businesses.

We are searching for a Business Analyst to join our project team.  This will be a 9 month fixed term role and is to start mid October and can be based in either our Sydney or Melbourne offices.

The role

The Business Analyst for BlueScope’s Workday HCM Implementation will play a pivotal role in ensuring that relevant HR business processes are understood and mapped.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of existing business processes and workflows.
  • Support the project team across key elements of the project.
  • Undertake analysis and documentation of new and revised business processes.
  • Ensure processes are clearly documented including workflows, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather process requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to understand current state of process with a view to mapping future state.
  • Ensure any corrections to requirements or processes are made as a result of issues identified in testing.

 

Qualifications

The Business Analyst must possess a deep understanding of business processes and strong analytical skills.  Effective communication and collaboration are key, as the role involves working closely with internal and external stakeholders across the breadth of our business.  

Other attributes include:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business process documentation/ management and/or process improvement roles.
  • Workday or other cloud-based HCM technology platforms experience well regarded

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of business process mapping, design and optimisation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience in facilitating workshops.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Proficiency in process mapping tools and techniques.
