The Opportunity
Come and discover the opportunity to join our Australian Steel Markets Marketing team as a Marketing Manager for the Residential segment based in Mascot. As BlueScope continues to grow as a business, we continue to strengthen and develop our people. We need to ensure we have the right mindsets, capabilities and skills to create and inspire smart solutions in steel to strengthen our communities for the future.
Our Marketing team develops and drives strategy to deliver business objectives for volume, product mix, share, brand equity and profitability within the Australian Residential, Commercial and Industrial Building Segments and non-building sectors.
In this leadership role, you will contribute to the growth of top and bottom-line performance through the strategically targeted development and execution of our Residential Marketing plans. Working closely with key internal and external customers and industry associations to develop strategy and drive growth. You’ll support our key strategic growth plans for our brands, such as our iconic COLORBOND® steel and TRUECORE® steel to name a few, into the residential sector.
You’ll have the opportunity to work with our experienced and talented team and have the chance to work with high value budgets and initiatives to continually increase channel engagement and innovations. This opportunity includes a competitive remuneration package including attractive 14% superannuation option and a profit share plan (annual bonus).
What Will You Do?
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, leading your team and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as sales and business development, you will:
- protect and defend the value of our COLORBOND® steel brand
- lead the planning and development of strategy and establish and implement effective marketing plans in residential segments to deliver business objective for volume, share, brand value and profit
- discover and develop further opportunities for our products in residential markets to grow market share, volume and profitability
- support the marketing effort to lead and drive product development solutions to secure current & future segment share
- provide input to and support the digital strategy for the residential segment
- maintain a deep understanding of the residential segment including product analysis, understanding market and building trends to provide guidance to the business in technical and building code compliance considerations
- develop influential relationships with key customers and industry/market influencers
- provide appropriate sales and specification tools to assist our Business Development and Sales team’s in their role in driving demand for steel products and systems

As an inspirational leader of people with highly developed analytical skills and your experience in B2B Marketing, you will bring:
- proven track record of leading and developing a team
- experience developing, managing, and implementing segment, channel and marketing plans
- project management and new product and / or brand development experience
- experience scoping, briefing and managing research projects including understanding of research methodologies, tools and techniques
