The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Lysaght business in our Production team as an Operations Technician/ Loader. Made in Australia since 1921, Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes, to large commercial and industrial projects.

Based in Toowoomba, our Loaders/Operations Technicians play a vital role in our production environment. They unload and load our products when they are delivered to us and then despatched to our clients and undertake general warehousing duties.

Working either Day Shift (Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm) or Night Shift (Sunday to Thursday 5pm – 1am) you'll receive ongoing training and support to learn all aspects of our Loader role allowing for future career development opportunities.

What Will You Do?

This diverse role will offer you variety each day, providing you with scope to showcase your skills that impacts the safety of our people as well as the quality of our products, you will be:

• loading and unloading material on and off trucks
• assemble necessary truck loading papers based on trip sheet from transportation.
• follow all safety rules and regulations to include good housekeeping.

Being a reliable and dedicated individual with a willingness to learn and develop yourself, you will also bring: 

• exposure or interest in, working in a manufacturing environment
• the ability or willingness to learn how to drive a forklift -holding a current Forklift license is ideal
• a positive attitude and a keen eye for detail
• the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• a commitment to your own safety and wellbeing and care for others
