The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Finance Manufacturing team at our Springhill facility as a Finance Business Partner. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.

In this diverse role, you will provide financial analysis and support to our Springhill Manufacturing, as well as the broader manufacturing finance team. Working with the Senior Finance Analyst, this role is very well rounded with exposure to activity-based costing, product profitability, inventory management and capital evaluations.

This is a Monday-Friday role with the ability to discuss flexible working arrangements. When you join our team, we also offer access to our Employee Assistance provider and other health and well-being programs.

What Will You Do?

Supporting the business units, focused on improving cost outcomes, you will:

  • assist in planning, coordinating and delivery of timely and accurate financial reports
  • lead stocktaking activities with the support of the Senior Finance Analyst
  • develop strong relationships internally and externally to the finance team
  • ensure the business and customer finance needs are effectively identified and appropriate solutions delivered through a customer focused approach  

More About You

As a sound communicator, you’ll bring your financial knowledge and background to support our Operational Management teams. You will also bring: 

  • a bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting or business (or near completion)
  • a proactive approach in building constructive and effective relationships
  • the ability to prioritise work and resolve problems effectively and efficiently
  • developed communication and influencing skills
  • an eagerness to learn and work towards gaining you CA or CPA qualification will be highly regarded
