The role of the Infrastructure Business Analyst is to support project needs by serving as a liaison between IT and the project, providing clear information to create improved business insight. In this key role you will engage with business and project stakeholders to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements and processes into documentation and conceptual design from which applications and solutions are developed. This will include supporting the development of business cases, pre-feasibility and feasibility documentation.

What Will You Do?

You will work closely with business SME’s, project stakeholders and solution delivery teams to elicit, analyse, translate, document and communicate business requirements.

To achieve this, you will:

• Work with the business stakeholders, IT Product Owners and solution delivery teams to elicit, analyse, translate, document and communicate business requirements.
• Analyse existing processes and systems and determine if changes can be accommodated
• Serve as a conduit between the business and the software development teams
• Work with Data Engineers to model and present data for the purposes of visualisation via Self-Service Analytics
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with the business to analyse information needs and functional requirements to deliver the artefacts as needed
• Develop and assist in the presentation of business cases.

More About You

With your demonstrable experience of business analysis you will also have:

• Extensive experience of IT business analysis
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
• Demonstrated experience of modelling e.g. unified modeling language
• In depth understanding of the various software development lifecycles e.g. Agile, Waterfall
• Experience with visualisation tools such as Power BI and Cognos.
