The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our BlueScope Distribution business in our Esperance team as a Customer Service Officer. BlueScope Distribution is a provider of single-source product, processing and service solutions in steel and aluminium. The business supports customers in a variety of industries and works with them to help deliver projects on time and to specification.  BlueScope Distribution supports its customers by helping them find the freedom to do what they do best.

In this diverse and challenging role, you will support our team by managing enquiries that come from walk in customers and via phone and email. Our customers are a mix of homeowners and builders requiring a variety of superior products and solutions that we offer. As a self-motivated, quick thinker, you quickly adapt and can juggle more than one task at any given time.

This is a Monday to Friday role, working a 38-hour week within the trading hours of 7:30am to 4:30pm. What Will You Do?

In this role, working with your team, you will receive ongoing training and support to learn to:

  • interact with our customers via phone and email to manage a variety of enquiries 
  • prepare and following up customer quotes, whilst supporting our sales teams and branches across Australia 
  • provide internal support and regular feedback to our sales teams with customer and competitor information 
  • resolve issues and seeking ways to improve the customer’s experience
